Five signs it is time to rebuild
- It is hard to use on a phone.
- Plugins or the theme have not been updated in years, or cannot be.
- Nobody knows how to change the text or photos.
- It takes more than a few seconds to load.
- It has been hacked more than once.
When a fix is enough
If the site is fairly recent, works on phones and you can still update it, a repair and some regular care is usually the smarter choice.
